Tim and April's Wedding
Aaron and Julia headed down to Marco Island to celebrate with Tim and April as they were married. We enjoyed a short time on the beach before the ceremony. The shells on the beach were amazing, we had fun finding a few for the girls. The ceremony was held at a private home and the surroundings were just breathtaking. Aaron was able to catch up with old friends and we had a wonderful time celebrating a wonderful couple. The next day Aaron and I headed back to Colorado. We had more adventures of our own.
After five flights (four each) and about 3-4 missed flights Aaron and I both made it home. Aaron jumpseated to get home, and Julia did a lot of praying and patiently waiting and waiting and very glad to a late arriving passenger...(I made it two flights later)

Happy Birthday Mormor!

Blizzards of 09
It's been a mild winter here in Colorado but Spring had arrived. We have had a few good snowy days and one good old fashioned Blizzard and another good snow on Mormor's Birthday! . The kids were hunkered down at the grandparents, Aaron out flying and Julia was at work for most of the blizzard. Mara finally was able to enjoy some sledding on our sledding hill and play in the snow! On Mormors birthday we attempted to drive over to celebrate turned into a two hour drive and we had to turn back and go home. We were able to celebrate the next day (and that was only a 20 minute drive) A sunny warm snow melting day...typical Colorado weather.

Megan turns One!
Happy First Birthday Megan Jane!
Megan turned one and we had a wonderful celebration with family to mark the special event.
Megan enjoyed her party, especially her My Little Pony cake. It's hard to believe our baby girl isn't quite a baby anymore. We look forward to all the new adventures our little toddler will take us on.

Copper Mountain Ski Retreat
Aaron and I went on an Adventure Rabbi Ski Retreat to Copper Mountain this past weekend. We had a great time. The first day of skiing started off a little crazy for me; my camelbak leaked all over my clothes before I even put my skis on, but after a quick change we hit the mountain. Aaron led me down some green runs and eventually I made it to some blues! The next day's skiing went much better and the day was just perfect for skiing. Aaron and I have matching red cheeks for our day in sun and snow! I eventually made some blue runs on the east side of the mountain with the occasional wipe out... but all in all I had a great time and we both look forward to more skiing! The retreat was fabulous also, we met some great people, and we look forward to more Adventure Rabbi Events!

Beano's Cabin
This past weekend we headed up to the mountains for a surprise evening out. We took Mormor and Grandpa Ed up to Beaver Creek to Beano's Cabin to take in the winter scenery and for a delicious dinner. The evening was full of adventure. Mara was enraptured by the snow cat sleds that took us up the mountain to Beano's Cabin. Megan however had a different opinion of the ride... Once we arrived at the cabin and we shed most of the layers we had piled on to keep warm, we were started off on our 5 course meal. We tried some new foods (and for some foreign objects) and had a great time taking in the cozy atmosphere. We heard that porcupines like to come try to get some scraps, but we didn't get to see any. After finishing our desert, creme brulee, a ganosh tart, and apricot cake, and a big bananna split for Mara; we headed back down the mountain under the starry clear crip mountain sky.

Megan took her first few steps today! She has finally joined the rest of us bipedal people and is trying out her legs on a whole new dimension. We are so proud of her huge milestone.

Our latest adventure takes us to the Butterfly Pavilion. We saw bugs of all kinds, a butterfly release and life sized ants in the I shrunk room. Mara and Aaron even held Rosie the tarantula! Mara thought she tickled. We also enjoyed a short hike on the nature trail outside of the pavilion, since it was such a nice day out. The Prairie dogs even came out of their holes to say hello.
